Electro pumps which move the cooling water in the power supply and heating coil are placed in this panel. These pumps made by Italian company called “Lowara”. Water system is equipped with antifreeze system. This system prevents pipes from cracking due to freezing in winter. There are several thermos switch and flow switches placed in water circuit. They have to send error messages to PLC in case of low flow or any increase in the temperature of the water.
Depending on the cooling system type (open loop circuit or closed loop circuit), there are different types and models of pumping panels. In the event of a power failure or other interruption, pumps stop working and heat generated by molten metal in the crucible can seriously damage heating coil. As a result an emergency water supply with capacity of about 10,000 liters is installed for the furnace water circuit.
